It's back to school time and with that comes every parent's nightmare - LICE.
Last year after the start of school, I got that dreaded call. All three of my children had lice. That was my first experience with lice and it caught us completely off guard. While I am not a lice expert, I am a trained hair stylist, and I was determined to learn how to prevent and treat lice effectively.
During my lice research, I discovered Fairytales Haircare Products. While these products are not 100% guaranteed to prevent lice, they have been effective for my family. Fairytales uses natural ingredients to repel lice.
My suggested routine is to wash and condition your child's hair using Fairytales Rosemary Repel Shampoo and Conditioner. After cleansing the hair, then spray with the Rosemary Repel Conditioning Spray.
Educate your children on lice prevention before the start of school. Use these few easy rules:
Another great way to prevent the spread of lice is to check your child daily. If you do find lice in your child's hair, contact their school or childcare provider immediately.
When my kids came home with lice, my first step was to go to the drug store and buy the toxic brand of lice treatment. These brands are full of chemicals and cannot be used multiple times because of their toxicity. I now recommend and will use Fairytales Lice Good-Bye. It is safe for repeated use during lice outbreaks. This product is formulated with natural enzymes to eliminate lice and their eggs (nits) and dissolve the sticky nit glue.
Once you apply the treatment following the directions provided in the Lice Good-Bye Survival Kit, you should then comb through your child's hair using the Terminator Nit-Free Comb.
Lice is not a reflection of your cleanliness. Lice actually prefer a clean head. Do not despair if you get that dreaded call from school. Be prepared with a treatment plan.
Talking about lice treatment provides another reason NBR hair extensions are the #1 hair extension method available today. Unlike most other hair extensions that must be removed and thrown away if they contain lice, NBR hair extensions can be treated. You will need to contact your NBR consultant to remove the extension hair and treat your natural hair and the extension hair. However, once all the lice is removed the extension hair can be reapplied. You do not have to lose your investment in the extension hair.
Good luck with the new school year and make sure you are geared up to prevent and treat lice in a natural, non-toxic way.
